Cold chills. 

More chills. 

They skated down my spine as my breath came in ragged gasps and Louis’s voice was like filtered noise to my ears. I couldn’t tear my gaze away from the phone’s screen and at the same time, I was unable to breathe as I read the message over and over again.

Each moment was followed by dread as another shiver ran down my spine. Why was this text sent to me now? Could this mean that someone had been watching Louis and me since we got here? 

Like they watched every intimate thing that we shared, and now they were threatening me?
