With every step that I took into the school, a cold shiver ran down my spine. The fact that he didn’t say anything meant something. We were not even supposed to cross paths and to think that he left without causing a scene made fear gnaw at my insides. 

Something was going to happen, and I could feel it deep within me. 

All of a sudden, I was jolted out of my thoughts because of the murmurs and small talk in the background that soon filtered down my ears. Everyone seemed to be talking about me. 

“I heard rumors that she can now see?”

“I doubt that is true”...
