   The music was pounding, the smell of sweat and booze thick in the air, and I already hated myself for letting Mia talk me into this stupid party. The floor was littered with empty bottles, red cups, and people sprawled everywhere, laughing too loud. Then the bottle spun again, clattering across the floor, everyone leaning in.
