"You're forgiven," she assures him. he nods silently, his gaze fixed on the floor. Max suddenly jumps up from the floor and begins to walk towards the kitchen.

"Hey, where are you going?" Max calls after him. He spins around, holding a piece of paper in his hand.

"Can I stay here tonight?" he asks eagerly. He looks over at him before nodding.

"Awesome," he exclaims, grinning at his friend. Max furrows her eyebrows slightly.

"Why? Didn't you spend last night in your own bed?" she questions. He rolls his eyes.

"Well I do! But I don't wanna go back to mine 'cause I know my mom's gonna kill me...
