Once the awkwardness between them had passed, Max picked up his fork and dug into the remains of his sandwich. However, the taste of the food didn't appeal to him anymore.

Not even the smell was appealing. It tasted so disgusting to him.

He pushed the tray away from him and put his elbow on the table in order to rest his chin on his fist. He closed his eyes for a brief moment, trying to block out everything else in the cafeteria for a minute.
