It was hard to leave the triplets, but the fact was, we wanted to be on our honeymoon.
A honeymoon was what every newlywed couple wanted to be on. The fact was we had earned it, even though we were going to miss the kids like crazy.
We stood at the doorway longer than necessary, both of us hovering while my mom assured us, again, that everything would be fine.
The hotel lobby was unnecessarily extravagant , gold fixtures, velvet couches, and a chandelier that looked like it could crush someone if the ceiling sneezed.
