As we arrived at the hospital, Liam was admitted into a private ward, a VIP section.
However, the nurses prevented me from entering the room. I sat in the waiting room, waiting for the doctor who led my child in so I could talk with him. There was no way my child would be treated in my absence because I knew what these local hospitals were capable of and what they were not.
