CONAN —

I stood at the passageway that leads to the room where the kids were, waiting for Yvonne to come out, as I had instructed Gerald to tell her.

As I looked up, I saw Gerald coming out of the room as he had delivered the message I sent him. However, Yvonne alighted from the room also.

She walked after Gerald, and immediately her gaze locked with mine. She slowed down and was acting as if she were scared of moving forward.

"Is there a problem, ma'am?" Gerald turned and asked her, as he noticed that she was not following him anymore.

Yvonne ignored him and kept moving slowly....
