Dorothy walked over, and her gaze swept over Juelz. She noticed that he looked haggard and crestfallen, and his shirt had specks of blood on it. Her heart jolted. "Juelz, did you get hurt as well?"

"Dory, I'm fine! These bloodstains are not mine, they're all Germaine's. She was tortured and suffered major injuries."

Juelz realised that Dorothy was somewhat concerned for him. His heart warmed a little but he still felt bitter.

He did not expect her to care about his wellbeing even after he'd schemed against her. Her concern for him was still there.
