Why was Credence calling her?

For some reason, Dorothy panicked. She clutched the phone in her palm tightly, and she felt numb.

The only thought that was flashing through her mind was that Credence was calling her at 12 o'clock in the morning. Why was he doing so?

She answered the phone with trembling fingers. She was worried that Belle would be awakened from the noise, so she slipped on her slippers nervously and walked towards the bathroom, closing the door. She asked in a low voice, "Credence, it's so late. What can I do for you?"
