The ‘place’ that Axel knew was an alleyway that looked like it hadn't seen any humans in ages. He parked his car and turned to me with a wide smile.
“Seriously?” I asked as I looked out the car and looked back at him. “This is the place you know?”
His smile didn't even waver. “Yeah. No one comes here.”
“I thought you were going to drive us to the mansion or maybe even a hotel!”
“The nearest hotel is like ten minutes away,” he grumbled, his lips looking like he was pouting. “I'm too patient for that, sweetheart.”
