I didn't look away from him, even when Medea crawled back to his side. She wasn't who I should be worried about; this man was. I was worried earlier for the wrong person, but I didn't even think Medea would have company, and a Colonel, no less.
“But you still shot me,” I snarled, still on my knees, my hand pressed against the wound on my thigh so I could reduce the blood. The wound was starting to heal, though. I couldn't let that happen....
