As the sun began to set, we made our way back to our house, exhausted but also satisfied by our progress with the sap bags.

 

But as we approached our house, we saw something that made us stop in our tracks. The woman we had seen earlier was sitting in front of our house, her head bowed low as if she had been waiting for us.
