ALEXEI’S POV

I could hear Ralph’s snores from bedroom as she looked at the door afraid if he might pounce on her again. She was shaking as I carried her to the bathroom, and I know it was as much from exhaustion than fear.

It shouldn’t bother me, knowing she did not wanted to have my child yet I was too angry. Yesterday, and today at breakfast, I could’ve sworn she was starting to play the role of a good wife, finally realising there was nowhere for her to run to. But today, she showed her true colours, and I wouldn’t stand for it.

It’s time the gloves came off....
