Connor and I's eyes never left the witch's body . She led us to a neat apartment and told us that the cabin was just her workshop. I couldn't believe my ears when she said they were other people too like her but she can't disclose their location since they were separated.

So any revelation of the extinction of witches and wizards was a myth. The Alphas didn't entirely wipe out the entire generation; they were still some offspring behind.
