Raine's POV 

We had stayed the night and through the next day. Acheron's sources were still trying to locate the mage who could break the bond. Our plan was to leave right after he arrived and severed Queen Ileana's connection to Armand. 

Restlessness settled onto our small group, none wanting to stay any longer than we had to. As soon as the sun went down, we migrated outside to wait. It was better than being cooped up indoors. Acheron and Skoldr did not follow us. I was thankful. Relatives or not, both of them gave me the creeps.
