I couldn't explain it, but I was absolutely certain that I should change him, and no one was going to take that away from me. I replied softer, "No, you do not need to call Cage, because I will do it myself."

Talon's eyes widened. "Are you sure?"

I was also oddly confident that I would be successful. There was no doubt in my mind. I certainly wouldn't put Talon at risk otherwise. A part of me considered waiting for Cage, but I knew he would try to talk me out of it. It was highly frowned upon to change a pet. Not illegal but highly frowned upon....
