“Hazel?" I whispered again before getting off Sophia, wearing my trousers then moving closer to Hazel.

“Don't come near me….” Hazel whispered, raising her hands as if it would protect herself from me.

I took a step closer to her.

“Don't…” She whispered again, her voice breaking and I couldn't help but halt, I didn't want to hurt her more.

It wasn't the voice breaking that made me think I was hurting her but her heart.

Though I couldn't see her heart, if her voice was breaking like this then what about her heart? Would it even still be beating?
