"Hold him firmly, don't move." He pressed her with one hand and prepared to pull his hair.

"Can't you cut with scissors? He will cry if you pull it directly." Penelope stopped him.

He snorted and said, "Can the scissors cut the hair, including the follicles?"

"Follicles?"

"The hair follicle is the target for the test. The hair is useless," he said, glancing at his mother. "If I were not here today, all your efforts would be in vain."

Penelope looked at old Mrs. Duncan; the latter turned her face away.

Warren pulled three hairs out of Chris's head.
