“She’s finally gone.”

That’s what Leo says as he closes the front door gently behind him. No fireworks. No court parade. Just calm, soft finality. Like the ending of a long, cruel movie we’ve been stuck in for far too long.

I stand by the window in the mansion foyer, barefoot and still in my robe. Blue is curled against Reo’s chest, already snoring softly from a night of too many cuddles. Reo hasn’t said much since the call came through. Just nodded once. Just… held Blue closer.
