“Looks like someone finally decided I deserved a room that didn’t feel like a punishment,” I mutter under my breath as I step inside.
The walls aren’t grey anymore. They’re soft cream now, almost honey-like when the sun hits them. There’s a new duvet on the bed—fluffy and cloud-colored—and the curtains aren’t stiff and dark. They’re sheer and flowing, like something out of a home magazine. The floor smells of polish, and someone left fresh jasmine in a glass vase on my windowsill.
And the little note on the bedside table just says: Use this room for healing. That’s an order – R.
I don’t know whether to laugh...
