“She likes daisies,” Reo mutters as he taps his fingers against the side of the desk. “Not too much. Just enough to linger.”
The assistant nods quickly, jotting the note down.
“And don’t touch her setup once she’s moved in. No tech ‘upgrades,’ no changes to the seating layout unless she asks for it herself.”
Another nod. Another scribble.
The new office smells faintly like fresh paint and clean linen. Sunlight drips through the floor-to-ceiling windows, pooling across the pale hardwood floors. The furniture’s modern but soft. Cream chairs, rose gold accents, a low bookshelf already half-filled with wellness reports, social initiative binders, and craft catalogs.
