“I got this,” Reo mutters, almost like he’s daring the universe to prove him wrong.

A wide-eyed Blue stares up at him holding a half-chewed stuffed dinosaur in one hand. The penthouse nursery is unusually quiet, sunlight pouring in through the tall windows like it doesn’t know this room is about to descend into pure chaos.

Reo kneels beside the highchair, scooping a tiny spoon of banana mush toward Blue’s mouth. The boy wrinkles his nose and turns away dramatically, then smears the food across his cheek with a stubborn swipe. Reo sighs and presses the spoon back in gently.
