Reo’s voice barely rises above the soft whistle of wind brushing against the penthouse glass. His fingers tighten on the strap of a small leather bag…the kind he never uses unless it’s something serious. Jennie is standing a few feet away with her hands curled around the cold iron railing. Her eyes are focused on the golden strip of sunrise bleeding across the city.
She doesn’t answer.
