That’s the first thing I hear when I walk into the kitchen barefoot.
I stop just before the archway; my fingers curl around the edge of the wall. The warm lights are already on. The scent of cinnamon rolls fills the air, probably something Blair ordered for her team last night. Blue’s still asleep upstairs. My hair’s a mess. My hoodie swallows my frame.
