Rumors have begun to fly that a particular project plan had been leaked. I knew at once what project and what plan they were talking about.

Davis must have taken the documents to the rival company he spoke about. He wasn’t following plans but if this new development meant the money would arrive even sooner, then I didn’t mind.

I hardly managed to stay at work and finish all my duties for the day, so when five o’clock came, I was happy to rush out of work and straight to Davis’ place.
