Veronica's POV 

Power could be deceptive. I went back home to take a bath since I spent many hours in custody for a while. 

Entering the bathroom, I heard my phone ring in the sitting room. ‘I will pick it up later.’ I decided within myself. Took a proper bath and then stepped outside.

Getting back to the room, I went to my phone just to check who called earlier. Surprisingly, it was Martins.

‘Did he call to check on me or to ask me for a response to his proposal?’ I thought in my head. Being confused, my phone started ringing again. It was Martins.
