I refrained backwards and raised my eyes in thought. ‘A project had just surfaced, and I was called to be among the applicants.’ While I felt good about it, I could tell that the call was automated.

And if the call was automated, several people would have been called. I lowered my face and glanced at the screen of my phone. Its screen brightened, and I realized I had gotten an email from my secretary.
