Words choked my throat that I couldn't speak. “What!” That sound slipped out of my lips because I was practically surprised.

“Yes, Miss Veronica. "I will prove to you that I love you in many ways you never expected. "I am not going to give up this time.” Mr Martin's voice was expressive, and I was impressed for a moment.

“Okay,” I finally replied to him.

“I just called to tell you that. "Expect to have a visitor soon,” he said before he finally ended the call.
