The gown in front of me was sparkling, casting glittering lights from its reflection as the helpers helped me don it.
“It’s pretty, mummy,” Daemon said with his brother running behind him.
The helpers stood at the door, stopping them from reaching me for fear of them ruining it.
“Let them in,” I said, waiting for my boys to run into my arms.
They came in haste, but mounting their distance, even as curiosity pushed at them to touch my gown.
