“Anything wrong?” Alpha Brian asked.

I muttered in the negative, as I did not know what was wrong, pausing at the feeling I had in my heart. A hand on my shoulder woke me from the trance.

“Looks like you had your head up in the cloud for the moment.”

I turned to see Alpha Brian staring me in the eyes, a look of concern on his face. “You looked like you stepped on a ticking time bomb.”

“It’s nothing,” I said as I placed my hands on my racing heart to calm myself.
