Everything was over as soon as it began. The room was silent, but I could feel the eyes of Aiden and Kirk as they waited for some sort of explanation.

How could I have not known? How did I not see this coming? I pondered on my stupidity. Alfredo saw me during the last meeting, and even though I denied being Melissa, he saw through my act. He knew me so damn well to know when I wasn't telling the truth. So, there was no way in hell he wouldn't come looking for me by any means necessary.
