“It's Miranda, and you know very well why she would be after you,” I said to Kyle while locking eyes with her.

It seems my words had more effect on Kyle than I anticipated as she looked like someone who has just been thrown into outta space. The mention of the name Miranda has always had the type of effect on the people of our pack. People back at the pack dreaded her name like a plague and the reason is not far-fetched. But I use to think that Miranda and Kyle were friends or that they had some sort of understanding.
