Carina woke up with a start, sweat dripping down her face. It was just a dream, she reminded herself, taking deep breaths to calm down her racing heart. She got out of bed and went to the window, looking out at the forest. She knew that Tyler was still out there searching for her, but for now, she was safe.

As she turned around, she saw Lincoln standing in the doorway, looking at her with concern. "Are you okay?" he asked, walking towards her.

Carina nodded, not wanting to worry him. "I'm fine, just a bad dream," she said, trying to sound convincing.
