"What are you doing here?" I ask the ex.

Dad walks in at the same time.

"It's past midnight," Tyrel replies. "If I remember correctly, Kerris, you hate to be outside the pack after dark."

"Alpha Ty says he's been trying to reach you," dad interjects before I can respond. "You weren't answering your phone. He said whatever he has to tell you can’t wait until tomorrow."

It is clear that dad is not pleased with this visit, too, especially now that he knows about the betrayal. But what can he do? You can't kick the Alpha out of your house. That's unheard of.
