The next morning, Mary sends a text asking me to head straight to the pharmaceutical lab so she can introduce me to a few people.

The thought of stepping into the Kingdom's largest medicine lab fills me with excitement. For the first time in days, I actually feel something close to happiness, and it's thanks to the new job.

Despite the anxiety about facing Zach, I'm eager to get to the towers after reading her text.

I arrive much earlier than my resumption time. Bonny, the clerk who assists Mary sometimes, hands me his pass and leads me to the lab.
