Emily can't possibly be here to beg forgiveness. That's not her nature. She's about to reply when someone calls out,

"Everything okay, Miss Hart?"

We both turn to look at the same time.

Caleb Rockwell, Zach's Gamma, marches our way, looking ready to take action if he doesn't like my answer.

It seems his question is meant for me and not Emily. His expression hardens briefly when his gaze lands on my stepsister.
