The clean scent of pine and flowing water makes me open my eyes.

We're home.

Well, my new home. Zach's place.

I'm still leaning against him, one powerful arm wrapped around me. His heartbeat is like a comforting rhythm beneath my cheek. A little too fast, especially when he inhales.

I lift my head just as Caleb turns off the engine. Tara is waiting by the porch.
