Aurora stood up as soon as she heard the name. The chair she was sitting on had almost tumbled down to the floor, but she didn’t care.
Her lips parted and curved into a smile she hadn’t even planned. The only thought in her head was going to see him and hugging him. “I’ll go see—”
“You won’t.” She froze upon hearing that. Her head turned slowly towards Rowan. He hadn’t even looked at her when he said it, just pushed his plate a little and leaned back in his chair with that same cold monk face.
“What?” she asked, voice flat.
