Rowan tried, he really did, to pull her away from it all. He wrapped his arms around her gently, trying to bring her back into the comfort of his chest, but Aurora felt so far away.

Her eyes stayed locked on the note like it still had more to it and if she stared long enough she'd find it.

"Aurora," he called again, his tone filled with so much concern. "It could’ve been a fantasy. Maybe... maybe he dreamed of it, even if he hated rain. People say things they don’t mean when they’re depressed."

But she shook her head, over and over again in disagreement. "You don’t get it....
