I turn to the side and place my ear right on the door as if it was doing any better than to hear the silence that filled the room outside.

Time passed and I just stood there.

“I… I’ll- I’ll give you five minutes to change.” He mutters the words. If not for my incredible hearing I would not have heard him. “Not more.” He says louder and I hear his footsteps fading and the door being shut.
