Xenia could barely sleep that night, knowing that today could very well be her last. She sat in her nightgown, looking out the window. The moon was long gone and the world outside was pitch black. Still she could see the outline of every tree, grass, and night creatures returning to their hideaways. She thought about Jane and Tammy before they left.
