Mason sat on the bed next to Skyler, he held her hand and stared at her sleeping face.

"I'm sorry beautiful, I neglected you because I was so busy with work, I should have known," he said painfully and kissed her knuckles tenderly just to ease the tightness of his chest.

Mason spent the rest of the night, watching over Skyler that he didn't know when he dozed off.

The next morning, Skyler slowly opened her eyes and the first thing her gaze caught was the unfamiliar ceiling then someone holding her hands.
