Jim had always been a man of action. As soon as he spoke, he was already striding off.
I looked around anxiously for Cameron. Why hadn’t he shown up yet? Could it be that he was planning to bump into me suddenly and slip me the bug?
Suddenly, I caught sight of a figure darting around the corner. I couldn’t see the face clearly, but that checkered shirt looked incredibly familiar. I wrenched my hand free from Jim’s grasp and crouched down, holding my belly and groaning, “Jim, I’m feeling dizzy… probably because I haven’t eaten anything. Can you get me some glucose?”
