The door opened anyway and Elixir stepped inside.
I released a sigh of relief. “It's you, Elixir.”
“Yes,” she hesitated. “Were you expecting someone else?”
“Well,” I stressed and looked down at what I was doing. I quickly pulled my father's note into the others.
It wasn't that I didn't trust Elixir but I felt it wasn't yet the time for her to know. Call it instinct or because I simply don't want to disturb her.
