I waited. I was anxious. I couldn't wait to get feedback from Mercury.

I paced as I waited.

The door opened suddenly, and excitement filled my heart as I turned to look at Mercury.

Instead, even before I turned, I scented that same mint. Of course, it was the Alpha King Xavier.

He stopped by the door like he was scared of entering. This was the room he had always entered without hindrance. I wonder what he's doing now.
