I was sitting on the couch, watching TV and trying to unwind after a long day, when I heard a loud thud coming from the guest room. My heart skipped a beat as I immediately jumped up and rushed to the door.

"Maya! Maya, are you okay?" I called out, knocking on the door repeatedly. But there was no response. I knocked again, louder this time, and called out her name again. "Maya, please answer me! What's going on?"

But the silence was deafening. I could feel my anxiety spiking as I tried to think of what could have happened. Has she fallen? Was she hurt?
