As soon as Anni said that, not only Andrew Davies did she not respond, but I was stunned as well.

"Anni, what did you say?" It was Anni's mother who spoke first, asking in a trembling voice, her face full of surprise as if she couldn't believe what she had just heard.

"I said I want a divorce!" Anni paused and said slowly, her tone very firm.

"Anni, you're crazy!" Andrew Davies stood up abruptly and took a few steps back, her face incredulous, almost screaming, "I don't agree! I will not divorce you!"

Andrew's father and Andrew's mother probably hadn't expected Anni to file for divorce at this point....
