It was late. I purposely arrived home late to clear my mind before I got up. My mother's words still rang in my mind, her threats stale and convincing. Worse of all she amended the damn prenup. If she thinks I'll spend a decade with Mimi just because she threatened to cease my assets then she had another thing coming.
