ANNE-MARIE GAVE Liam a hug. "It’s been so long since I saw you," she said as they both pulled out of the embrace. "You should visit more, both of you," she shot her son a displeased look, one that did not go unnoticed by the lot of them.

"We will try to visit more, promise," Liam said placating her worries and doubts. "And I will even make sure that Evan is on his best behaviour too," he added with a sly smile.

Anne-Marie let out a boisterous laugh. "That will be the day I die a happy mum."
